Hello to all
I have not been around for a while so I will get you all up to date.
I have had lots happen in life in the last few years but things are all good these days.
I have not posted since May 2010 in another area of track your plaque. Looking at this blogging log it says 2006. I was blogging
on some other area but will start up here.
I went through some depressing times financially but all the real estate debt has been gone since January 2009.
I have not been training much except walking. I had a meniscal tear fixed in June. It is finally feeling well enough to get out and try running more. I am over weight and that has been a problem for a while.
I am back on Symvastatin so the chlosteral is at 180. Still doing omega 3's often to keep the good fat going. I hope to return to DR Davis care but have been putting it off.
A positive thing is I retired from my industrial career at age 51 so you tend to lay around on computers more with the time. I am a VP with the states largest running club (badgerland striders) so that takes alot of my time.
I hope to return to my Triathlon training starting December 1st so I will be swimming Biking indoors and doing even more running and walking.
Hope this gets to post in the correct spot this time.
Talk to you later and Thanks,
Dave

Back from vacation with an update

The Track Your Plaque Apprentice hello again I have been on vacation for a while because of the long deer hunting season here in Wisconsin. I kept up with my heart health supplements but over indulged way too much so I reset goals again to stride for. I started my winter exercise program the last two nights of pedal biking my road bicycle on a fluid trainer in my basement. Wednesday night is my running night. This night I always go run with a group. I will add some running in during the week. I am refocusing on my diet. I hope to be down to 200lbs by Christmas. I weighed 208 lbs this Am. I plan to accomplish this by cutting back on all my calorie intake by less Alcohol intake, Smaller portions during meals, packing cucumbers, carrots, and broccoli for my work frig, and cutting out all the occasional donouts and candy my co workers bring in. This will be challenging during this holiday season but goals keep me motivated. My last recent visit to Dr. Davis also had a small wake up call for me. I was informed I am in the pre diabetic state. My glucose is at that level. Before this visit, I did not recognize the word(glucose) at all but the older you get you become wiser I have learned. Another reason for this 47 year old kid to make my 200 lb goal!!!!! Talk to you later, Dave

Hi
How is everybody doing?
I am doing ok myself. I am still on the program for keeping my heart healthy. I am still following up taking all the meds and supplements recommended by Dr. Davis. Had a lean low fat supper tonight and plan to get to bed soon to catch up on some rest.
I ran a running race last weekend and took third place in my age group. I am stoked from that. I have been running races for ten years and finally won something.
I have been stretching regularly for a while now to keep my legs and lower back loose. I am doing better than previous months so I will keep at it. I ran tonight and lower legs are still getting sore so I know I have to keep it up.
Till Later, Dave

Hi again
Things are still going well with me.
My exercise program is still going ok being it the off season for outdoor
exercising. I am from the midwest and today it is in the fortys and raining with 93% humidity. I could run indoors but I dont like it at all unless I have to. It then becomes another day of getting things done that get put off. I shopped a little for my self tonight. I buy soy milk on occasion to shift the diet a little. I still like my fat food and always will but I have to
keep it to a mininum till my weight starts to drop. I bought baby cut carrots that come in the zip loc bags. I dont care if they are not as good or in the produce peoples words are not as clean as the ones un-cut but I am not worried. These are good for two months if refrigerated and you add a few drops of water. I usually add these to some meals I have at work that I reheat in the microwave.
I am out of words now and as I say always stay off the couch till you dont have a choice on the matter.

hello
Things are going well these days. My exercise program is still pretty consistant also. I ran my race last Wednesday and I was happy with my results. I almost ran a personal record.
My diet has slowly been changing. It is hard for me to change 360 degrees overnight being single and I definitely live in the fast lane. Here is what I have changed so far.
Low fat yogurt, almonds to add some protein, even as an in between snack, three different kinds of oat bran cereal using skim milk, and just plain cutting back on the amount of calorie/food and beverage intake.
My results are good in some ways and no results in others. Since blogging, my weight is about the same or -2 lbs. My body fat has went from 27% to 24-25%. I will take it. The more I exercise the more the body fat will drop. I know this from experience.
My weight is still 209lb but I expect a drop in the next few weeks. Muscle weighs more than fat so I want to see a few more lbs. go in the near future. I will end today on this note. I just quit eating regurally before bed as I have done for many years and cut back in every area.
THis I have never mentioned earlier, Drink as much water all day long whether you want or not. I fill a quart glass at work and make sure I fill it three time while at work. It flushes the body out, fills the gap in the gut and also helps with getting blood to the muscles which we need. Lemon slices if you don't like water.
Till later and stay off the couch,
Dave

Hi
I have not blogged in a while so I will chat a little while.
I had some what healthy foods the last two days. I had baked turkey
for supper last night with a sweet potatoe. Minimal margarine
on the sweet potatoe and skim milk. The same for lunch today.
Spaghetti with multi grain pasta and a little italian well cooked for supper tonight.
My portions were smaller than normal to try to get the belt a little tighter
which is the goal.
I ran and walked five miles tonight. My legs are starting to come around
as I complained a lot earlier. The weekend was full of run and walking and still the sore legs. I will find out next Wednesday my overall condition because I will run a 5k
race to see my overall condition. Till later,
Dave

Hello
I am back from a my vacation. I am going to stick to the plan I set to do to get my weight and diet back on track. I do not cook myself so My girl friend is going to start cooking more regularly. She bought lots of veggies, some lean meat, and lots of fat free yogurts. We will see how it goes.
I put 30 minutes of run and walk in tonight. It is a regular thing that if you miss a week it it like starting over again. Tomorrow it is suppose to rain most of the day so after work looks like a indoor swim day.
Till tomorrow, Dave
